The Department of Social Sciences and Economics, under the coordination of Prof. Tarola, had the pleasure of hosting the first CIVIS summer school 'Sustainability, reforms and environmental challenges: The future of EU' .
The summer school, realised in collaboration with professors belonging to European universities of the Civis Alliance, took place from June 5 to 9, 2023 and had as its main topic "The analysis of the challenges posed by the current global ecological, geopolitical and macroeconomic crises."

The commitment of the Department of Social Sciences and Economics, with the collaboration of Prof. Pierluigi Montalbano, in the realisation of the BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) "Global Migration on the Ground" is renewed.
The programme, carried out in a blended mode (virtual and then in-presence at the University of Tubingen) involves transdisciplinary collaboration to offer a broad perspective on migration as a global phenomenon, linking research and practice.
