The Department of Social Sciences and Economics recognises the fundamental role of internationalisation in the educational-scientific sphere and promotes International Cooperation, which includes activities relating to:
- negotiation and conclusion of international agreements for the promotion of academic cooperation in the educational-scientific field;
- realisation of mobility and exchange programmes for lecturers, researchers, doctoral students and students;
- realisation of double degrees for the Doctoral School in Social Sciences and Economics;
- organisation of summer schools involving the reception and collaboration with foreign lecturers and students.

The realisation of synergies and different forms of internationalisation, involving the joint research of lecturers and researchers between institutions, the exchange of best practices, the identification of further opportunities for mobility, the participation in new partnerships and in projects within European programmes are all part of the interests of the Department of Social Sciences and Economics aimed at contributing, through them, to increasing the active participation of Sapienza University of Rome in the most accredited international fora.
